What is a Mead Hall, anyway?
A mead hall was a large, centrally-located building used by Anglo-Saxon villagers as a gathering place for news, feasting, and entertainment. Much of the action in the Anglo-Saxon epic poem Beowulf occurred in the mead hall named Heorot. This web site is a gathering place of information for my British Literature classes, hence the name Mead Hall.
